Jason Hart Raff is an associate attorney at Gray Ice Higdon. His practice focuses on trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and right of publicity, including prosecution, licensing, counseling, and litigation. Jason works with large and small clients including a major magazine publisher and media conglomerate, independent video game developers, inventors, book publishers, authors, musicians, visual artists, architects, and industrial manufacturers.

Jason attended the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where he graduated summa cum laude in May 2024. At Brandeis, he was a member of the Louisville Law Review and competed in the 2023 Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Moot Court competition. Jason also founded and developed a cross-disciplinary internship for training interns from the UofL School of Modern Languages to interpret for Spanish-speaking clients of the Ackerson Domestic Violence Law Clinic at the School of Law.

Jason had a diverse career portfolio prior to law school. He was previously the Global Languages Resource Manager for the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A., where he developed a translation and interpreting program for the national Presbyterian denomination and managed a team of over 40 staff and contract linguists. Prior to that, Jason was the Translation Liaison for the Administrative Office of the Kentucky Courts and a Staff Spanish Interpreter for the Kentucky Court of Justice. In that role, Jason interpreted daily between English and Spanish in high-stakes criminal, civil, and family court proceedings, spearheaded and developed the Office of Translation Services to provide Spanish and Arabic translations of court forms, and co-authored Part IX of the Administrative Procedures for the Kentucky Court of Justice. Jason is also classically trained cellist and orchestral conductor and has experience producing complex concert events.

In his spare time, Jason likes to cook, perform and listen to music, and play video games with his kids. He is working on learning to play golf.
